Combining a powerful 96dB(A) sounder with a high-efficiency EN54-23 certified visual alarm device, the BF432C/CC/W provides effective fire alarm notification for occupants, including those with hearing impairments or in areas with high ambient noise. It is specifically designed to provide O-R-3-2.5-17 rectangular light distribution, making it particularly suitable for corridors and other rectangular spaces, where efficient light coverage is essential for meeting fire safety regulations.

The integrated sounder produces a loud 96dB(A) output at one metre, ensuring clear and immediate audible notification during emergency situations. To accommodate different building requirements, the unit offers 31 selectable primary alarm tones, an optional secondary tone, and two adjustable volume levels (High and Low). This flexibility allows installers to configure the most appropriate alarm signal for local regulations and specific site requirements.

The built-in visual alarm device features three selectable flash rates (0.5Hz, 1Hz, or OFF), allowing the installer to optimise the beacon’s operation based on the installation environment. The high-intensity white LED beacon provides dependable visual warning while maintaining low power consumption, making it suitable for larger conventional fire alarm systems.

Operating from an 18–30V DC supply, the BF432C/CC/W is designed for energy-efficient operation. Typical alarm current consumption is 12.2mA at 30V DC (0.5Hz flash) or 19.5mA at 30V DC (1Hz flash), helping reduce the overall power load on the fire alarm control panel while maintaining excellent performance.

The device is third-party certified to EN54-3 for sounders and EN54-23 for visual alarm devices by the LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board), ensuring compliance with internationally recognised fire safety standards. It is fully compatible with C-TEC CFP, FP, MFP, and EP203 conventional fire alarm control panels, as well as many other compatible conventional systems following appropriate compatibility testing.

Designed for ceiling-mounted installations, the BF432C/CC/W can be installed in two different configurations:

• As an integrated detector base with combined sounder and visual alarm device.
• As a standalone sounder/VAD using an optional locking white or red cover cap.

The unit is supplied with a BF431QCP Quick Connect Plate and detector spur wires, allowing for faster installation, simplified maintenance, and compliance with EN54-3 and EN54-23 installation requirements.

Built for dependable long-term operation, the device features an IP21C environmental protection rating, making it suitable for indoor applications. It operates reliably within temperatures ranging from -10°C to +55°C and up to 95% non-condensing humidity, ensuring consistent performance across a wide variety of commercial and institutional environments.
