The sounder features 31 selectable alarm tones along with an optional secondary tone, allowing installers to configure the most suitable audible warning for different building requirements and regional fire regulations. Two selectable volume settings (High and Low) provide additional flexibility, enabling installers to balance sound coverage while minimizing unnecessary noise in quieter environments.

With its low power consumption, the BF431C/CC/W helps maximize system efficiency without compromising performance. Operating on 18–30V DC, it draws only 3.8mA at 18V DC and 5.5mA at 30V DC, making it suitable for larger installations where current consumption is an important consideration.

The unit is third-party certified to EN54-3 fire safety standards and approved by the LPCB, ensuring compliance with internationally recognized fire alarm performance requirements. It is also compatible with C-TEC conventional fire alarm control panels, including the CFP, FP, MFP, and EP203 ranges, as well as many other conventional fire alarm systems, subject to compatibility testing.

Its compact, ceiling-mounted design allows it to be installed either as:

  • A detector base with an integrated sounder.
  • A standalone sounder using an optional white or red locking cover cap.

The sounder is supplied complete with a BF431QCP Quick Connect Plate and detector spur wires, allowing for faster installation and easier maintenance. For EN54-3 compliance, the supplied Quick Connect Plate must be used during installation.

Built for long-term reliability, the BF431C/CC/W features an IP21C environmental protection rating, making it suitable for indoor applications. It operates in temperatures ranging from -10°C to +55°C with up to 95% non-condensing humidity, ensuring dependable performance under a wide range of environmental conditions.
